48% married Pakistani women say they never call their husband by his first name.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 48% married Pakistani women say they never call their husband by his first name.

A nationally representative sample of married women from across the four provinces was asked, “In some communities of our society, it is custom that wives never call their husbands by their name. Please tell me whether you call your husband by his name or not?” In response to this question, 52% said yes, we call our husband by his name and 48% said no we do not call our husband by his name.
