57% Pakistanis opine men are more intelligent than women; opinion split on gender lines. (GALLUP & GILANI PAKISTAN POLL)

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 57% Pakistanis opine men are more intelligent than women; opinion split on gender lines.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “With respect to the characteristics found in men and women, please tell are the following characteristics found mostly in men or women [Are men more intelligent or women]?” In response to this question, 57% said than men are more intelligent than women, while 43% said women are more intelligent than men.

Gender Breakdown:

In response to this question, 67% males said that men are more intelligent, while 33% said women. On the other hand, 46% females said that men are more intelligent, while 54% said that women are more intelligent.

These figures illustrate that nationally men are considered more intelligent, but when it comes down to the respective gender, each considers itself more intelligent than their counterpart.
