65% Pakistanis believe that the government should regulate religious madrassahs

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, 65% Pakistanis believe that the government should regulate religious madrassahs.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people are of the opinion that the government should regulate religious madrassahs. Others say that there is no need to do this. What is your opinion on this?” In response to this question 65% said that regulation of madrassahs is important, 24% said that regulation of madrassahs is not important and 11% did not respond.
