A slim majority of Pakistanis (45%) opine that personal life of politicians is their own concern and media does not need to speculate on it.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, a slim majority of Pakistanis (45%) opine that personal life of politicians is their own concern and media does not need to speculate on it.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people say that commenting on the personal life of politicians like on marriage etc. is permissible for media and the public. Others say it is not permissible. What is your opinion?” In response to this question, 43% said it is permissible, 45% said it is not permissible and 12% did not know or wish to respond.
