Family Planning: More than 1 in 2 (54%) Pakistanis approve of the Supreme Court’s activist stance on Family Planning.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, more than 1 in 2 (54%) Pakistanis approve of the Supreme Court’s activist stance on Family Planning.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Recently, the Supreme Court and the Prime Minister office conducted a conference on family planning in which an appeal was made to the public on the issue. Do you think that the Supreme Court should actively take steps with regard to family planning in Pakistan?” In response to this question, 54% said yes, it should, 35% said no, it should not, while 11% did not know or did not wish to respond.
