Home renovation: 3 in 4 Pakistanis who renovated their house in the past year claim they did not take any formal or informal loans for it.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 3 in 4 Pakistanis who renovated their house in the past year claim they did not take any formal or informal loans for it.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces, who renovated their house in the past year, was asked, “While renovating your house, did you take any formal loan from the bank or informal loan from friends or family?” In response, 24% said that they had, whereas 75% said that they had not. Only 1% said that they did not know or wish to respond.
