Loan Repayment: 38% of Pakistanis believe that their government should not return the interest-based loans that it has borrowed from foreign countries and banks.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 38% of Pakistanis believe that their government should not return the interest-based loans that it has borrowed from foreign countries and banks.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Pakistan has borrowed interest-based loans from foreign countries and banks. Should the Government of Pakistan return the loans?” In response to this question, 46% said yes, 38% said no, while 16% did not know or did not wish to respond.
