Majority of Pakistanis (68%) support Chief Justice Saqib Nisar’s decision of giving jobs to two transgender people within Supreme Court.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, majority of Pakistanis (68%) support Chief Justice Saqib Nisar’s decision of giving jobs to two transgender people within Supreme Court.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “During court hearing of a case related to transgenders, Chief Justice Saqib Nisar announced to give jobs to two transgenders inside Supreme Court. Some people support this decision while others do not. Do you support or oppose it?” In response to this question, 68% said they support it, 25% said they oppose it while 7% did not know or respond to the question.
