According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, More than half Pakistanis (53%) say that the 70th Independence Day was celebrated with more than the usual fervor; 23% say otherwise.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people think that this year Independence Day was celebrated with more fervor than the last two three years. While others say that there wasn’t much of a difference. In your opinion, was Independence Day celebrated with more fervor or not?” In response, 53% said that the Independence Day was celebrated with more fervor this year, 23% said it was less than the previous years, 21% said there wasn’t much difference and 3% did not know or wish to respond.
