The IMF remedy: Public opinion split with 52% Pakistanis stating that government should not take loan from IMF; 43% support taking loan from the international creditor.

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, public opinion split with 52% Pakistanis stating that government should not take loan from IMF, 43% support taking loan from the international creditor.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Some people think that government should take loan from IMF while others think that they should not take the loan from IMF. What is your opinion about this? “In response to this question, 43% said the government should take the loan, 52% said it should not take the loan and 5% did not know or respond to the question.
