1 in 3 Pakistanis continue to be skeptical about the number of COVID-19 cases being reported by the government (Gallup & Gilani Pakistan Coronavirus Perception Tracker)

Islamabad, 8th September, 2020

According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 1 in 3 Pakistanis continue to be skeptical about the number of COVID-19 cases being reported by the government.

A nationally representative sample of adult men and women from across the four provinces was asked the following question, “To what extent do you agree or disagree with the following statements:  ‘I believe the number of Coronavirus cases being reported by the government are accurate?” In response to this question, 61% agreed that the cases being reported by the government are accurate, 33% disagreed and 6% did not know/did not respond.
